One of my most favorite cartoons/anime is the whole series that has to do with dragon ball. From all the beautiful artwork to the deeper meanings of its quest and journeys. One of my favorite aspects of the show was the concept the dragon balls being collected to be granted one wish or three but the main concept of the them explained in this video explains it very well.
